Why I Want to Be an IBCLC
What made you want to become an IBCLC?
Breastfeeding my latest child was such a great experience. I was able to nurse him up to 3 years old. The bond and connection with him encourage me to share my journey with others. I've been passionate ever since advocating for mothers to breastfeed and be successful in their journeys as well.
How do you hope to make a difference as an IBCLC?
The hope is to impact all moms from different walks of life. Providing a multitude of services aiding and encouraging moms in feeding and nurturing our community.
Why is winning Pacify's Diversity in Lactation Scholarship is meaningful to you?
So much has been lost on our children because mothers have misinformed or discourage from providing adequate breastfeeding technique. Our mothers need our support, resources, and education now more than ever. With Pacify' s Diversity, this is what I hope to achieve.
