Doula Scholarship Program of Maryland
Supporting aspiring and practicing doulas
The Aetna Better Health of Maryland Doula Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for aspiring and practicing doulas who want to further their impact in maternal health care. This scholarship, valued at $2,000, is designed to support both new doulas and practicing doulas who are not yet certified by covering the costs of training, exam fees, and other related certification expenses.
How we help break down barriers and promote equitable care
In partnership with Pacify, Aetna Better Health Maryland is offering the Pacify Doula Scholarship to support individuals who want to advance their skills or begin their journey as doulas. This program provides two pathways:
- For practicing doulas who are not yet certified
- For individuals new to the doula profession
The scholarship aims to increase access to compassionate, culturally competent care by removing financial barriers for aspiring and practicing doulas. By supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in both pathways, we strive to promote equitable care and improve maternal health outcomes for communities in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
